Scrumptious Quilt Top

It’s a windy, chilly, blustery day where I live, which makes this quilt top look even happier than the bright colors already do!  I pieced this quilt top on New Year’s Day and it’s been hanging in the closet (with a backing made and binding chosen) ever since.

The fabric is Scrumptious by Bonnie & Camille for Moda, and I believe this might be the first time I’ve used the current collection of theirs before another is released.  (Ironic that I’m sharing it now that April Showers is available, but that’s ok!)  I used a pattern by Aneela Hoey called Crackle, which uses a layer cake.  The quilt top came together really quickly and easily.

I had hoped to get more pictures, but the wind was threatening to carry it away so I’ll have to take more when I finish it.  The year so far has felt a lot like what the wind is doing in that photo – whisking me away through life’s daily responsibilities and challenges.  I’m really hoping to find more time to sew because I’d love to finish this quilt!

Speaking of finding more time, doesn’t a Craftsy class sound awesome?  We’re giving away a free one.  Enter here!

That is one AWESOME quilt top!! I am working on a quilt top right now using Scrumptious as well. I only have 5 out of 20 done so I think it’s gonna take awhile! Nice job :) Cindy

Love the bright and cheerful fabrics and thanks for the link to the pattern. Does it require any paper piecing?

This top truely is Scrumptious! This is the first time I’ve seen this line made up, and I think you chose the perfect pattern.
