Somehow this Friday is a little less fabulous. We have had the stomach flu this week and Matt is in Seattle. Good times.
Over Christmas I made the Vanilla Cinammon ice cream I posted earlier this year. While I loved the texture of the ice cream it was a little like eating cinammon sugar toast. So I am on the hunt for a new recipie (salted carmel anyone?).
On to new fun things:
This week was my book club. As one of the courses for dinner we had seafood fondue. I LOVE fondue (I own 4 electric fondue pots) but I had never had seafood fondue like this. We had delicious salmon, mahi mahi, marinated talapia, praws and more. The cooking liquid was this awsome broth and herbs combo. The plate was topped off with a delicious selction of homemade sauces. I don’t have the recipie yet but it was fabulous.
I could live in these. Matt picked out these Brahma Leggins (with skirt for that little holiday weight gain) from Athleta for me for Christmas. They are AMAZING. I don’t know why they are so different than my other workout tights but they are. They are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn. I will need another pair for sure!
I am loving these skinny jeans from Boden in fresh green. I would like to see what such a light color looks like on me. I generally shy away for light colored jeans as they show everything but it really is a great color!
Most of what I have read recently has been obligatory. It has been a while since I read something I really loved. So this is a bit older but it was a great read:
Matt and I both read this and loved it. I am an admitted Gladwell groupie. Having said that this was facinating and offered some fresh perspectives.
