What I’m working on Wednesday

I finished my economy blocks and will now be trimming and figuring out the desired layout. It will be interesting to see how this quilt comes together because it has so many solids and most of the #economyblockalong quilts I have seen out there are more busy.

I also finished my January goal for A Lovely Year of Finishes. This baby quilt is now quilted and next step is to add binding and gift it to Mom before baby arrives!

I quilted it with a loopy stippling and it was fun to just go for it.

I love the baby quilt. Such beautiful soft colors. I’m not sure that I would hav thought to put all of them together…but they are lovely. And the economy blocks are cool. I like seeing the fabrics you chose. The simplicity of using the solids is kind of elegant.

Love the baby quilt. It looks so warm and inviting – great job with the colors, unusual and lovely!

  3. What an adorable scrappy quilt! Lucky Mommy to be and lucky baby! It will be loved and snuggled. I think a quilt that is inviting is way better than one that is so “perfect and pristine” that the Mommy won’t let baby touch it. And I liked seeing “your very first label” on facebook. Nice finish.
