Valentines

Happy Valentine’s Day!

vcard3

I don’t know about you, but for me Valentines day is always a little frantic.  Someday I hope to enjoy a pleasant, leisurely Valentines day, but I have a feeling that won’t be for many years.

I did manage to make this card for my husband.  I used the woodgrain printing plate with my L Letterpress to make it.

I then cut a pink heart and hand-lettered our initials on it.

Now it sits on his desk waiting for him to arrive home from work.  We celebrate Valentines day simply around here, but it’s always a day for our family to be gentle with one another’s hearts, express love and appreciation, and recognize how terribly blessed we are to be a family.  I am grateful for my good husband who leads us with kindness and humor.

While I was printing I added to my collection of pink letterpress experiments.  I’m not sure what I’ll use these for, but they sure make me smile!

Speaking of that other letterpress experiment, the little bee cards did, indeed, become valentines for my kids.

They’re all ready to go in their mailboxes, waiting for them to come home from school.

Should be a great afternoon!
