What I’m working on Wednesday

I have a few different quilting projects competing for my attention, as usual.  Sometimes I look at people I know who only have ONE thing going on.  They start, work and finish before starting anything else.  And then I think how boring that would be if I didn’t have different things to work on… I’m not sure there’s much hope for me!

Anyway, here are some of my WIPs that I hope to make progress on this week:

I’ve got to just finish the blocks for my block of the month quilt.  I really like them and am super excited to put the quilt top together, so I need to knock them out.

I also cut into my Field Study fabric recently.  I never tire of this pretty stack!  I’m anxious to start on this quilt, but have told myself that I can’t cut the solid fabric until I’ve finished the blocks mentioned above.

I got this quilt basted over the weekend and have started quilting it. I’m wondering if I need to pick out what I’ve done… it might be too dense to work with the snuggle fabric I used on the back.  I’m having a few issues with it and so am second guessing myself.  We’ll see what happens with it!

Lastly, I’ve had a mental picture of this project floating in my head for two or three years and it’s time to just make it!  I traced this embroidery project the other day and have started stitching the outline with a split stitch so that (hopefully) my satin stitch will look nice.

I’m hopeful that progress will take place on any (or all) of these projects this week.  It’s such a joy to create!

Happy sewing!

What a fun variety of projects you have going! I have to bribe myself with promises of other projects sometimes too. Can’t imagine just working on one thing at a time.
