Have you seen the new Swoon quilt pattern by thimble blossoms? Well, it’s gorgeous. Jennifer made one and last week she sacrificed a day with her children to hang out with me and sew. She helped me get started on my first block and I am totally in love. The coolest thing about this quilt is that it is only 9 quilt blocks since the blocks are so big. I’m in process of finishing my 3rd, which will make me a 1/3 of the way done.

I finally cut into my Nicey Jane stash and I love the fabrics. I will be posting my progress as I go along. Quilting has been such a wonderful experience for me. I am still a beginner, but I have loved learning new skills and becoming more confident in my ability to develop new talents. It has also brought me new friendships and great conversations.
