The colors of our country’s flag always give me that feeling of freedom and love for America. Seeing our flag flying is wonderful because it means so much. Henry Ward Beecher wrote of our flag:
If anyone, then, asks me the meaning of our flag, I say to him – it means just what Concord and Lexington meant; what Bunker Hill meant; which was, in short, the rising up of a valiant young people against an old tyranny to establish the most momentous doctrine that the world had ever known – the right of men to their own selves and to their liberties.
It does mean so much. And seeing red white and blue together bring out the pride I feel for our country.
This center piece on my table makes me think of that whenever I see it.
I hope your Fourth is filled with red, white and blue. And that we are always grateful for our beloved country.
