As I mentioned, I’m obviously just dreaming about organization this week since my life is such an unorganized mess. But one thing I love about organization is the idea of putting things you use on display. I have these wonderful glass jars (still filled with decorations from Valentines day). I love the glass but am not confident in my ability to find neat things to put in them like my wonderful mother does.
But what’s the point in having something beautiful if you aren’t going to put it on display?
William Morris said: “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
And I believe it. So from now on, instead of sticking my colorful fabric scraps into a drawer to save or trying to figure out what to do with my ribbon, I’m putting it on display:
