Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet
by Jamie Ford
I recently picked this book up at a yard sale and I LOVED it. I really enjoy historical fiction and this book did not disappoint. I highly recommend it. It is written from the perspective of a young Chinese boy living in ‘China town’ near Spokane, WA during WWII. He is American born, but his parents are not. It is an amazing story that goes through his experiences with white American children, Japanese American children and the internment camps.
Reading is so good for me and I think everyone should read at least one book all the time. Even if you take a lot of time to work your way through a book, it teaches you new things and makes us better.
Happy Reading!
