My cherry tree is in full blossom. It’s one of those things I look forward to every year. The sight of my beloved tree covered with beautiful white blossoms fills my heart with happiness and never fails to bring a smile to my face.
New to our yard this year is this:
Peach blossoms! A couple of years ago we planted some little starts and have waited to see if they would take. This little tree (only a few feet high) is the first to have blossoms and our entire family has relished the surprise of seeing it in bloom.
The only problem is that it’s snowing outside and my heart feels heavy. Last year some late spring storms ruined many fruit crops in my area. I’m hoping spring weather will come in time for pollination and a decent crop.
Regardless, I am thankful for this unexpected beauty and will enjoy it while it lasts. Spring and all the new growth it brings is a sight to behold.
